UPCOMING EVENTS

 

30th August 2010 - 10am Annual General Meeting

Our annual fees will be due and you will issued with a members card on receipt of your payment.  The committee is asking that we all bring a plate to share for lunch. We will have a raffle on that day as well to help replenish our funds.  Vivienne Dwyer will be our guest speaker, more about her topic in the next 'update email'.

  

We are having a display table on the Saturday of the 'Walk on the Wild Side' weekend, which will still be held on the 20th- 22nd August 2010.  Our table will be either in the Hawks Nest Community Hall or on the lawn outside, depending on the weather. Anyone interested in helping to 'man' this stall, even for an hour, would you please let me know. We plan to display some family histories, books and magazines.  We will have starter kits and family sheets for purchase. Times are from 10am - 4pm.

 

We will also be having a table at the Riverside Festival to be held on the 30th October 2010. The theme for our table this year is 'fishing' - so any photos, displays or pieces from our 'olden' days which we can display will be most welcome.

 

There is a History and Genealogy Expo in Sydney for the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd October 2010 to be held at Paramatta RSL Club from 9.30am - 4.30pm.  More details for those who might be interested on the website: www.unlockthepast.com.au
